The Clean Water Indiana (CWI) Program was established to provide financial assistance to landowners through grants awarded to local SWCD’s in order to implement conservation practices that reduce non-point source water pollution.
Who can benefit from this program?
Farmers in Elkhart County can benefit from up to 75% cost-share to implement conservation practices on their land in two categories: livestock practices and cropping practices.

- Hay and Pasture Renovation
- Prescribed (Rotational) Grazing
- Filter strips
- Cover crops
