"What makes a supervisor, a supervisor?"

  

An important item on the agenda is the election of a member to the Elkhart County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.  Every county in Indiana is a soil and water conservation district.  Each district is supervised by a board of local landowners who are responsible for the policies and programs for the SWCD.  This board has five members; two are appointed for three year terms, and three are elected for three year terms.
